Cycling is something Joe took up after years of playing basketball in high school and at the college level. He needed something to keep in shape and quickly fell in love with the sport. His preferred discipline is on the track which is an exciting race that is done on a velodrome, an oval course with banked turns. When races take place on the velodrome, the bicycles have no brakes and only one gear. In Joe's words, "It is like NASCAR on bicycles!"

Life is short so set goals, reach them, set more, and enjoy yourself through it all."
